Scott Martin Overland, 68, of Duluth, passed from this life on Sunday, Oct. 9, at St. Mary's Hospital. He had struggled with the effects of a stroke for a number of years.
Scott was born in Duluth, on June 20, 1948.
He was a 1966 graduate of Duluth Central High School and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 294 of Hibbing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Overland Everett, in July of this year; and his father, Arthur E. Overland, in 1977. Scott is survived by his son, Scott (Darcy) of Forest Lake and their daughters, Miranda and Jesseca; his brothers, Wayne (Mary), Mark (Cathy) and Greig (Valerie) Overland. He is also survived by a daughter Kelly and her three children. At his request there will be no memorial service.
