Dwane "The Bear" Falconer, 63, of Duluth, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, in St. Luke's hospital surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Duluth on July 26, 1947, to Douglas and Jeanne Falconer, and graduated from Central High School in 1966. He married Susan Mullison in 1973. His career at Arrowhead Equipment lasted nearly 40 years and then began his own business, Bear's Heavy Duty in 2005.
Following his passions he earned his Eagle Scout rank, played hockey as a goalie, raced stock cars, and pursued his love for hunting, fishing and boating. Dwane especially loved Isle Royale and was a charter member of the IRBA.
He is survived by parents, Jeanne and Douglas Falconer; wife Susan; children Paul and Charla Falconer and Cyndi Hartman and husband Rick; sisters Judy Shykes, husband Robert and Janet Halligan.
